Civil Construction Traineeship (Pipelaying)

The successful Civil Construction Trainee will work as part of the Water team to assist in theconstruction maintenance and repair of water sewerage and drainage infrastructure. The roleis designed to provide on-the-job training and experience while completing a Certificate III inCivil Construction (Pipelaying)

Some duties that the role will include:

• Learning to read plans and overviews and follow and implement as directed.
• Carry out measurements and calculations.
• Operate plant and equipment.
• Implantation of traffic management plans
• The work is outdoors in most weather conditions day or night.

About you:

• Hold (or willing to obtain) a construction White Card
• Positive attitude towards Safety and a strong commitment to workplace health & safety practices
• Hold a C class drivers licence
• Demonstrate a mature outlook with desire to succeed in the Civil Construction Industry
• Be available to work Monday Saturday when required.
• Can provide two work or school related references.
• Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccinations are required as part of occupational health and safety protocols
• Successful candidates will be required to pass an aptitude test and a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.

Community Solutions is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland. We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
