ClearEdge is hiring a Linux Systems Administrator to support a computing environment serving analysts and developers performing data science and advanced modeling for the Intelligence this role you will maintain the security posture performance and reliability of Linux-based systems across multiple environments ensuring stable operations for development test and production workloads.
You will serve as a key technical resource for system health monitoring compliance and user support helping transform system metrics into actionable insights while working closely with cross-functional technical teams.

A Day in the Life Of:
- Managing user accounts and access controls across Linux environments
- Maintaining the security posture of multiple system environments
- Monitoring system performance and application health
- Supporting data-processing and custom software applications
- Administering virtual machines running Linux and Windows
- Supporting systems hosted in AWS environments
- Maintaining system compliance and accreditation documentation
- Configuring and maintaining monitoring tools such as Nagios Splunk or Elastic
- Troubleshooting and resolving system and application issues
- Coordinating system administration efforts across multiple technical teams
Must Have:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
- Three (3) or more years of system administration experience in this environment
- Experience administering Linux systems in production environments
- Experience maintaining and administering virtual machines on Linux and Windows
- Experience administering systems in AWS environments
- Experience maintaining system compliance and accreditation
- Experience configuring and using monitoring tools such as Nagios Splunk or Elastic
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues in custom software environments
- Experience coordinating system administration activities across multiple teams or organizations
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain an IAT Level II certification within 180 days of start date
Nice to Have:
- Experience with configuration and system state management tools such as Ansible or DSC
- Experience using source control tools such as Git
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python Bash or PowerShell
- Experience writing technical documentation
- Experience maintaining Elasticsearch or Elastic Stack products
- Experience identifying and resolving security advisories and applying vendor patches
- Experience supporting development test and production environments
- Current IAT Level II certification
