Job Summary
The Cost Accountant will analyze manufacturing costs prepare detailed cost reports and ensure accurate cost allocation to support financial planning and operational decision-making. This role partners closely with operations and supply chain teams and plays a key role in budgeting forecasting and compliance within a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
- Calculate and review manufacturing rates and cost structures
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to cost analysis
- Perform variance analysis between actual and standard costs
- Partner with operations and supply chain to ensure accurate cost data
- Prepare monthly and quarterly cost reports for management review
- Support internal and external audits with cost-related documentation
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
- 24 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and GAAP
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently manage priorities and meet deadlines
