Responsibilities
The Admissions Nurse plays a crucial role in facilitating a smooth transition for new residents and their families. Working closely with the Admissions Coordinator reviews referrals and inquiries from external sources conducts initial nursing assessments and ensures appropriate bed placement availability of necessary supplies and staff readiness to deliver the required level of care. This role combines clinical expertise with compassionate patient-centered care supporting residents and families through the intake process while also performing essential administrative functions to ensure timely and efficient admissions.
Qualifications
Education
Associates Degree in Nursing required
Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
Experience
2 years of experience in a healthcare setting required
Licenses and Certifications
RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
