Inventory Control Specialist: Off-Shift
Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist will maintain the organizations inventory and supplies used in the Operation while maintaining accurate record of all procurements.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain consistent stock of inventory ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limits as inventory dwindles.
- Responsible for supplying all plant employees with the required supplies.
- Assess inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic recurring delivery.
- Will gather and build supply orders for other facilities.
- Responsible for cycle counts of supply store items in order to track inventory.
- Will maintain supply store inventory levels and replenish storage areas as needed.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers on incoming shipments.
- Work closely with Purchasing department to maintain proper supply levels and coordinate supplier lists.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Problem solving and ability to coordination inventory control program.
- Demonstrated ability to work within plans set forth by Purchasing and Operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.
- Computer skills including spreadsheet and production planning and tracking applications.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Desired Skills:
- Highly organized self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to document plan and execute programs.
- Proven ability to work hands-on with the team to achieve objectives.
- Experience in Manufacturing Industry.
Experience & Education
- Prefer at least 1 year of inventory control warehouse or supply store experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse facility.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
