The Team Youll Work With:
The Office of the Chief of Staff to the Mayor is responsible for the full suite of citywide and agency administrative operations to include scheduling and preparing the Mayor for his daily briefings meetings and events. The team led by the Mayors Chief of Staff coordinates the operations of the Office of International Affairs the Office of Operations the Office of Special Projects and Community Events the Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management Gracie Mansion and the Office of Correspondence the Office of Mass Engagement the Office of Emerging Markets and the Office of Sports Wellness and Recreation.
The Problems Youll Solve:
The Special Advisor for Policy and Planning is a key member of the Office of the Chief of Staff who supports the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Mayor and Chief of Staff to the Mayor in ensuring strategic operational and political alignment across City Hall and the administration.
The Special Advisor for Policy and Planning will:
-Prepare materials for Executive decision-making & high-level policymaking by gathering relevant information and data from senior City Hall staff and agency leadership.
-Develop and maintain project management systems for policymaking and implementation.
-Support the coordination and oversight of IGA & community engagement.
-Assist with coordination of internal operations & cross-issue workflows.
-Support the Front Office and City Hall Operations in administrative and operational matters to ensure strategic alignment across the administration.
-Maintain high standards for Operations Culture and Performance.

-You have a deep understanding of policy issues related to the City of New York and the provision of services across its five boroughs.
-You pay attention to detail and have excellent organization skills including the ability to manage complex projects sensitive information analytical data and multifaceted internal and external relationships.
-You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-You have demonstrated exemplary levels of integrity ethics and discretion.
-You are an independent problem-solver with the ability to learn new subjects quickly.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
-Masters Degree required.
-5 years of experience.

Qualifications :
1. Do you have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
2. Do you have an associate degree from an accredited college or university along with two (2) years of experience with administrative analytic coordinative supervisory or liaison responsibilities
3. Do you have a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a states Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization along with four (4) years of experience as described in question 2 above
4. Do you have a satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to that described in questions 1 2 and/or 3 above
