Job Summary
CNC AND BAND SAW OPERATOR

Monitor and operate CNC lathe machines to cut metal and plastic parts to specifications. Safely use band saw to cut foil logs to appropriate specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Calculate amount of material to be loaded into the machine
- Load materials (steel aluminum copper plastic etc.) into the lathe to be shaped
- Run the program and monitor the machine for any problems (may require adjusting operating speeds based on sounds or vibrations that may indicate a problem)
- Remove part(s) from lathe and inspect fabricated parts using basic inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Use band saw to cut large aluminum logs into defined length/ thickness to be machined
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment
- May be required to safely operate machines simultaneously
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience running CNC lathes Haas experience strongly preferred
- Experience programming and setting up is a big plus
- Experience safely using band saw in production environment
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Requires attention to detail ability to stand for majority of shift
