Lab Test Simulation Integration Engineer Iin GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
- Demonstrated experience designing developing and integrating realtime simulation systems (e.g. dSPACE ADI NI Speedgoat) with aircraft hardware/software in HardwareintheLoop (HIL) environments.
- Proficiency in Simulink for model development simulation and system integration.
- Experience using Python or other highlevel programming languages to create automated test scripts testing utilities and lab support tools.
- Strong ability to interpret and work from aircraft and simulation electrical drawings.
- Handson experience integrating simulation hardware I/Oincluding analog discrete data bus and Ethernet interfaceswith aircraft controllers and thirdparty simulation platforms.
- Working knowledge of standard aircraft industry data and communication protocols such as ARINC 429 ARINC 664 RS485 and related interfaces.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support a customerfacing lab environment by addressing requests for new functionality assisting test engineers and troubleshooting aircraft or lab system issues.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous rapidly evolving or dynamic development environments.
- High level of comfort and motivation working in a lab setting with an expectation to spend approximately 80% of time onsite.
- Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering preferred; candidates with Electrical or Computer Engineering degrees who possess relevant aircraft and simulation experience will also be considered.
- Possession of a pilot license is considered a strong plus.

Bachelors Degree Engineering or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. Entry level. 0 to 18 months experience.

Performs engineering work related to the investigation and solution of basic problems associated with research design development service and manufacture of Gulfstream aircraft.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Provides technical assistance to engineering staff and contributes by completing discrete engineering tasks on schedule .
- Using company procedures applies engineering knowledge to resolve routine issues .
- Analyzes and evaluates results of project activities .
- Prepares recommendations for changes and compiles necessary reports for various department supervision .
- Recognizes discrepancies and/or problems with analysis/test results and works toward corrective action .
Additional Functions:
- Actively works to improve daily processes and ensures all work meets customer requirements .
- Continues learning and developing knowledge of application of technical principles theories and concepts in assigned field of expertise .
Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
- The level of technical skills and abilities appropriate for this grade level will be established by each discipline.
- Work is closely supervised/monitored follows established procedures and methods.
- Failure to achieve results may cause delays in program schedules.
- Ability to convey technical concepts in both written and verbal formats.
- Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor mentor and other exempt professionals in the group or department.
- Works under general supervision for most tasks.
This job requires one to be able to read write speak and understand the English language.
