Position Overview

A Texas state agency is seeking an experienced Appian Certified Developer to design build and deploy enterprise-grade business applications using Appians low-code development platform. This role requires deep experience with SAIL interfaces process models API integrations and Agile delivery frameworks.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical architecture capabilities collaborative development experience and a disciplined approach to performance optimization testing and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable Appian applications using SAIL and Process Models.
• Develop integrations with external systems through REST and SOAP APIs.
• Optimize user interface performance and responsiveness.
• Write and execute unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with business analysts and QA teams to validate functionality and ensure quality standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Contribute to solution design documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet or exceed the following minimum requirements:

• 8 yearsof Agile methodology experience.
• 8 yearsdemonstrating strong design development and analytical skills.
• 8 yearsof effective communication and teamwork experience in cross-functional technical environments.
• 3 yearsholding Appian Level 2 Senior Developer Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 yearsof hands-on Appian or low-code platform development experience.
• Experience with GAMS (Government Acquisition Management Suite).
• Experience working within a public sector or government technology environment.

Education

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science Engineering or related technical field.
• Equivalent professional experience may substitute for degree requirements high school diploma required.
