We are seeking a pragmatic and collaborative data risk and governance professional to join our Data Risk and Governance team as part of the wider TAD (Technology AI Data and Third Parties) Risk Management Team.Our team supports PwCs client-facing and internal businesses to identify assess and manage risks arising across the data lifecycle (plan collect/create store share use dispose). This enables the firm to deliver services and operate safely and in compliance with legislative regulatory and ethical requirements.
Reporting to both the Data Risk and Data Management Leads you will play an important role in helping the business understand and mitigate data risk.
What your days will look like:
- Draftingupdatingand publishing data-related policiesguidanceand standards
- Reviewing and responding to datarelated queries from business teams and providing clear riskaware guidance
- Assessing proposed data use cases and advising on compliance ethicalconsiderationsand retention/handling requirements
- Supporting the recruitment and development of junior team membersthrough strong managerial and coaching skills
- Trackingproject andbusiness-as-usualtasks and work itemsbothin progress andin the pipelineensuringprioritisation andprogress is documented and stakeholdersremainupdated
The role is for you if:
- Qualification indata governance data management data protection or information security and/or risk management ( CIPP/E IRM Cert)preferred but not essential
- Proven experienceinadata management/data governanceriskmanagementgovernanceorqualityassurancerelated rolewithin a regulated industry or in a relevantdataenvironment.
- Understandingof the role of risk management in achieving organisationalobjectiveswhile meeting legal regulatory ethicaland compliance obligations.
- Proven ability to manage a broad portfolioof workfacilitatediscussions across diverse stakeholders manage expectations and drive delivery.
- Experience working in diverse teams remotely and in person supporting junior colleagues fosteringcollaborationanddemonstratingresilience culturalawarenessand a positivecan-domindset.
