As a global leader in advanced manufacturing and technology innovation we are seeking a skilled HighVoltage (230kV) Facilities Electrical Engineer to support the design operation reliability and continuous improvement of our highvoltage utility and distribution systems.
This role is critical to ensuring safe and reliable delivery of electrical power to a highvolume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in utilityscale electrical systems handson operational experience and strong collaboration skills to interface with engineering construction operations and safety organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead engineering oversight of 230kV highvoltage systems including breakers transformers switches relays protection systems grounding systems and associated infrastructure.
Provide technical support for the design installation commissioning energization and operation of utilityscale electrical equipment.
Develop specifications protective relay settings equipment purchasing requirements and construction standards for highvoltage systems.
Own the reliability strategy for 230kV and substation equipment condition assessments predictive maintenance health monitoring and lifecycle planning.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical events failures misoperations or disturbances and implement corrective actions.
Ensure system capacity redundancy switching procedures and singleline documentation are maintained accurately and continuously.
Ensure all engineering practices meet OSHA NFPA 70/70E IEEE NERC and local utility standards.
Drive Electrical Safety Program elements for HV systems including LOTO procedures arcflash compliance and HV training for personnel.
Work closely with facilities engineering operations teams utility partners design consultants and construction contractors. Mentor junior engineers and technicians on HV power systems protection schemes and safe operating practices.
Develop and maintain substation documentation oneline diagrams schematics operating procedures and emergency response plans. Deliver technical reports outage plans and substation event documentation to communicate system status and improvement recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
5 years of experience working with highvoltage (115kV) utility or industrial power systems.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (OSHA NFPA 70/70E IEEE NESC).
Proficiency with power system analysis software such as SKM ETAP Aspen OneLiner or equivalent.
Proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling design software such as AutoCAD Revit and Navisworks.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Experience with protection systems relays SCADA interfaces and power monitoring platforms.
Experience with utility coordination transmissionlevel equipment and substation operations.
Demonstrated expertise in relay protection control schemes grounding and system stability.
Experience in advanced manufacturing semiconductor facilities or criticalinfrastructure environments.
