As a Certified Medication Aide heres a big-picture view of what youll do:
- Administering medications monitoring patients and providing basic care under the supervision of a licensed nurse
- To provide each of our assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the needs of the resident and the care plan.
- Immediately answer the nurses call buzzer of each resident
- Assist in daily requirements and tasks in care and treatment of residents such as toileting grooming bathing feeding dressing
- Doing activities with residents
- Detect correct and report to the charge nurse any unsafe conditions which may result in bodily injury
- Assist residents in all activities of daily living
A few must-haves for our Certified Medication Aide:
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Must have at least 6 - 12 months experience.
- Active Certified Medication Aide certification in Georgia
- CPR and First Aid certification (Will not accept any online certifications)
- Valid Drivers License or State ID
- Compassionate nature good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have experience with electronic medical records system. Athena charting system preferred
