Job Description
Project/Program:
The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist works on desktop server and mobile GIS applications and workflows.
Day-to-Day Tasks:
Assist with developing testing implementing and maintaining desktop server and mobile GIS applications and workflows
Document spatial workflows procedures and applications
Assist with the design construction management and documentation of GIS datasets
Assist with management of IT infrastructure that supports GIS platform
Assist with mapping or analysis needs
Respond to GIS service desk tickets
Support NY State emergency response efforts.
Mandatory Qualification:
IT Specialist -
Works in the field of Information Technology experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer.
Expert -
84 months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Requested Qualifications:
- 84 months of experience Developing implementing testing maintaining and enhancing new and existing geospatial applications from the Esri GIS server platforms that support visualization analysis mobile and reporting solutions.
- 24 months of experience - Designing installing managing and administer multi-tier ArcGIS Enterprise environments (including ArcGIS Portal ArcGIS Server ArcGIS Hosting and ArcGIS Data Store)
- 24 months experience - developing and supporting service-based geoprocessing interfaces between Esri GIS environments and other applications.
- 60 months experience - managing spatial data and developing workflows and applications from Esri enterprise spatial databases.
- 12 months experience - Linear Referencing practices and concepts as they relate to transportation applications.
