The Center of Clayton is looking for reliable mature friendly enthusiastic employees who enjoy helping people and providing amazing customer service. Ideal candidates will have prior child care experience enjoy working with a variety of people in a busy environment and excellent customer service skills. This person will be responsible for providing supervision and care for children age 8 weeks to 6 years old of people using the Center of Clayton. They will also be expected to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the Kid Center and provide exemplary customer service.
This is an excellent opportunity for students retirees who want to stay active and individuals wanting to supplement their income. This is a part time (3-14 hours/week) position working weekday and Saturday shifts.
Ideal qualifications include:
- Interest working with children ages 8 weeks to 6 years of age.
- Prior child care early childhood education or similar experience.
- Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and understand the needs of children to provide safe and responsible childcare.
- Excited about maintaining a warm friendly atmosphere for guests and staff while maintaining high standards.
- Dependable self-starter who can work both individually and as part of a team with minimal routine supervision.
- Certification in American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider and First Aid required within one month of employment.
- High school diploma preferred; must be 16 years of age.
Applicants must be available for year-round employment. This is not a seasonal position.
The Center of Clayton is a full-service community center which offers the ultimate experience in sports fitness swimming recreational educational and lifestyle enhancing programs. The Centers 136000 square feet includes four gymnasiums two pools hot tub a suspended jogging track weight lifting aerobic/dance areas a 30-foot climbing wall classrooms lounge Subway Restaurant and meeting rooms. The Center of Clayton is located at 50 Gay Avenue Clayton MO 63105 and is part of the Clayton High School campus. Part-time staff enjoy membership privileges at The Center.
