Work Hours: Night Shift: Full-time/ -10 hour shift 8pm-6:30am with weekend rotations.
Work Location: Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital Saint Petersburg FL- Core Laboratory
Position Summary:
- The laboratory medical technologist performs routine and specialized tests independently or with minimal supervision in one or various sections in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
- Recognizes the clinical significance of each test performed and reports results within established time frames.
- Actively supports the departments continuous quality improvement and customer service goals through modeling of appropriate behavior and by providing a work environment conducive to attaining these goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or related science or applicable Associates degree
Clinical Laboratory Technologist License in all areas of responsibility from the State of Florida
Experience:
Ability to participate in one or more project teams
Ability to understand and react effectively to the age-specific needs unique to patients
Possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
Possess knowledge of and the ability to use computers automated instruments and mechanical apparatus
Ability to meet deadlines

Salary Range: Minimum 27.85/hour - Maximum 44.57/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
