GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

As our Nurse Practitioner you will be a clinical leader and a primary advocate for their health dignity and quality of life. Qualifications

PREFERENCES/**AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:

**The position requires a Wyoming State Board of Nursing Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license (APRN) with prescriptive authority and Wyoming State Board of Pharmacy certification.

KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of medicine and/or nursing including pediatric obstetrical gynecological surgical and /or emergency outpatient medical care.
Knowledge of prescription and non-prescription medications.
Knowledge of diagnostic laboratory and radiological tests.
Knowledge of quality assurance methods and techniques.
Knowledge of Public Health initiatives and outcomes.
Knowledge of evidence-based medicine.
Knowledge of current state and federal regulations related to the profession and governing regulations for an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
Skills in computer usage and use of electronic health records.
Ability to work with and around WLRC residents including those who may display challenging behaviors.
Ability to maintain current provider cards in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Skills in written and oral communication including the ability to communicate effectively and positively with residents staff families guardians and the public.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

As required by the Licensing Board

Certificates Licenses Registrations:

Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the Wyoming Board of Nursing.

Necessary Special Requirements

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Ability to bend lift twist pull push etc. as would be expected to provide patient care and treatment in clinic and hospital settings.
Ability to work directly with residents who display aggressive and challenging behaviors.

NOTES:

FLSA: Exempt
This is an At-Will position.
The Wyoming Life Resource Centerparticipates in E-Verify. We will provide the Social Security Administration and if necessary the Department of Homeland Security with information from each new employees Form I-9 to confirm work authorization. Please note that we do not use this information to pre-screen job applicants.
A background check including the taking of fingerprints will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation Department of Family Services and the F.B.I. for every successful applicant.
Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing will be conducted on safety-sensitive positions. Drug testing will be conducted on any position if reasonable suspicion exists.
