Job Description:
- Be responsible for analysis design development implementation and post-live support of an Android Mobile application.
- Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
- Design build and maintain high performance reusable and reliable Java code
- Ensure the best possible performance quality and responsiveness of the application
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Help maintain code quality organization and automatization
- Deploy changes & releases into Production
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Poly or Bachelor degree preferably in Computer Science or Engineering; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- 3-5 years of work experience
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK different versions of Android and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Experience with offline storage threading and performance tuning
- Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces such as touch
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Knowledge of Android UI design principles patterns and best practices
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
- Familiarity with the use of additional sensors such as Biometrics (Facial Recognition / Fingerprint / Iris) is a plus
- Familiarity with agile based development methodologies
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization
- Understanding of Googles Android design principles and interface guidelines
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as SVN / Git
- Familiarity with continuous integration
- Must have good written and oral communications skills and a strong team player with a flexibility to adjust to changing situations.
- Must have strong process disciplines a quality focus with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be pro-active and be responsible.
- Must be Singapore Citizen.
