Minimum Hiring Annual Salary:

$56821.00
To attain the maximum annual salary employee must meet all minimum qualifications plus:
- 5 (five) years of additional applicable work experience and/or degrees higher than minimum qualification degree. Degrees higher than the minimum qualification degree can be used in combination with additional work experience.
- Acombination of related education on-the-job work experience certifications and/or licenses that results in a candidate successfully meeting the minimum qualifications of the position may be considered.
The stated salary amounts are not guaranteed in the event employment ends with Aims during any fiscal year.

Job Description:

The Program Manager for MOSAIC Student Programs leads the development coordination and evaluation of initiatives that promote the academic success well-being and belonging of students. This role oversees multiple programs and partnerships focused on advocacy community building education and inclusive support services. The Program Manager collaborates with students campus departments and external organizations to ensure programs are responsive affirming and aligned with institutional equity and inclusion goals. Strong leadership cultural competency and relationship-building skills are essential to advancing inclusive practices managing resources effectively and creating safe empowering environments for students.
Oversight of Program Management & MOSAIC:
- Demonstrate a knowledge of key theories related to belonging and student departure.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of various DEIJ-related topics and concepts.
- Design implement and execute culturally responsive programming and/or events for all students.
- Develop and execute efforts to engage all historically underserved and underrepresented students including but not limited to: racial/ethnic minorities adult/non-traditional learners first-generation college students LGBTQ students migrant students neurodivergent students student parents student veterans and their families and undocumented students.
- Engage all populations of students in opportunities that promote leadership cross-cultural interactions and a sense of belonging.
- Serve as department representative on various committees divisions and institutional initiatives as assigned.
- Research educate assess and synthesize information related to belonging community building diversity equity inclusion and justice issues to enhance best practices for student programming engagements and events.
- Administer all aspects of student programming event management engagements and official functions related to the objectives of the MOSAIC such as training and workshops for students that prepare them to engage in the Aims community and greater community.
- Develop and maintain communication plans to students faculty advisors and the college community related to MOSAIC programming.
- Seek opportunities for collaboration and co-sponsoring programming with other offices within SEIS and the College community.
- Under the leadership of the MOSAIC Director contribute to the day-to-day operations of the center in the Student Commons.
- Support the mission of the MOSAIC in accordance with the purpose mission and vision of Aims Community College.
- Provide back up for the MOSAIC Director and other staff as needed.
MOSAIC Signature Programming & Events:
- Lead plan and implement large-scale signature events for students. Event types vary including guest speakers group activities and documentary screenings.
- Determine key components of the event including the layout timing structure and mode of delivery working in tandem with the Events office and other stakeholders as required.
- Develop task lists for the event outlining key tasks and providing clear expectations for student staff.
- Develop marketing materials for the desired audience (i.e. students staff faculty the public etc.) alongside the Marketing and Communications office.
- Coordinate with Contract Services to ensure all required approvals are properly requested in a timely manner.
- Communicate with the appropriate office for event implementation including meetings with Aims Events Campus Safety & Security Facilities etc. to ensure all aspects of the event are in accordance with Aims policies and procedures.
- Undertakes a variety of efforts to raise visibility of the MOSAIC and increase student participation in activities.
Supervision of Student Employees:
- Hire train support evaluate and supervise student staff within the Multicultural Office for Student Affinity Inclusion & Community (MOSAIC).
- Provide leadership coaching allocation of work project coordination and communication plans to student staff.
- Assign direct and coordinate the work of student staff within the MOSAIC and at programming volunteering activities engagements and events.
- Schedule staff to provide adequate coverage for the MOSAIC and some Aims-sponsored events based on established service hours.
- Conduct planning and evaluations in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain training manual and reference materials for systems and functions that are related to the Multicultural Office for Student Affinity Inclusion & Community.
- Work with teammates to ensure consistent expectations within the department.
- Develop and coordinate professional development and coaching for student employees.
- Manage conflict to ensure a positive working environment and team culture. Works closely with the Director and the additional Program Manager to continuously incorporate best practices and ensure consistency among supervisors.
- Chaperone students travel when necessary.
Supporting Student-Led Events:
- Provide guidance and feedback on student-led event ideas marketing materials and event implementation to ensure the content/activity of the program is inclusive accurate and aligns with the mission of the MOSAIC.
- Coordinate and schedule events including sustained communication with other SEIS departments to avoid duplication.
- Provide education and recommendations to students based on topic-specific events.
- Student-led events may vary in size and scope providing varying levels of support to support a wide array of events.
Supporting the Seeds Leadership Program:
- Maintain the structure curriculum and purpose of the Seeds Leadership Program.
- Create trainings and workshops to create transformative learning experiences on topicssuch as leadership belonging community-building diversity equity inclusion communication etc.
- Facilitate a series of workshops addressing the aforementioned topics creating a welcoming and inclusive space for students to express their beliefs opinions and perspectives while bridging across differences.
- Develop learning outcomes for all workshops and trainings.
- Maintain marketing and recruitment efforts year-to-year.
- Develop and manage a D2L course to deliver content (i.e. modules quizzes discussion boards and rubrics) provide announcements updates and reminders and establish expectations.
- Chaperone and/or coordinate student travel for professional development opportunities group activities or other opportunities.
- Plan lead and implement two large-scale events for the program specifically the Seed Welcome Celebration and the Seeds Graduation Reception (for students who completed the program).
- Develop remediation plans for students who fall between the 2.0-2.5 GPA range so that they can participate in the program while also receiving additional support from the facilitator or other Campus Services/Resources.
- Oversee and maintain a program budget as allotted by the MOSAIC Director submitting official function forms when needed.
- Coordinate with the administrative support specialist to ensure all supplies meals and/or snacks needed for the training/workshop are available.
- Review course content annually and further develop or add trainings workshops or events to further the curriculum and provide additional opportunities to students.
- Manage Marketing & Media efforts and initiatives including print online and social media formats but also outreach presentations in a wide variety of venues.
- Recruit staff faculty and administrators to serve as program professional mentors.
- Review training materials/books for purchase to be potentially used in the program.
- Lead and develop a mentor retreat that supplements existing training and resources.
Other Duties as Assigned:
- Respond to a variety of basic questions from students and the college community.
- External Aims community outreach and coordination as needed in order to maintain positive working relationships with other personnel.
- Follow state and federal laws related to data retention of student records.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with legislative requirements such as FERPA.
- Assist with special projects as assigned by the MOSAIC Director.
- Serve on department division and institutional committees as assigned by the Director of the MOSAIC to enhance all students experiences.
- Collect and maintain accurate information and resources included for HLC evidence and MOSAIC web page management.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Psychology Sociology Higher Education or other related field; plus one (1) year of related work.
OR
- Associates Degree; plus three (3) years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.

- This position requires the use of a company vehicle for business travel. The selected candidate must successfully pass an MVR and be insurable under Aims insurance.
