A well-established manufacturer and supplier of concrete blocks and all grades of aggregates based in Armagh is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their in-house maintenance team.
With a strong reputation across the construction and civil engineering sectors this company operates a modern fleet of HGVs and plant equipment supporting daily deliveries across Northern Ireland.
The Role
As HGV Mechanic you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy goods vehicles ensuring they remain safe compliant and fully operational to support production and delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Service maintain and repair HGVs including tippers and mixers
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Prepare vehicles for MOT/DOE testing
- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety standards
What Were Looking For
- Proven experience working as an HGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience with commercial fleet maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
- Relevant mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)
- HGV licence (desirable but not essential)
