A well-established manufacturer and supplier of concrete blocks and all grades of aggregates based in Armagh is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their in-house maintenance team.

With a strong reputation across the construction and civil engineering sectors this company operates a modern fleet of HGVs and plant equipment supporting daily deliveries across Northern Ireland.

The Role

As HGV Mechanic you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy goods vehicles ensuring they remain safe compliant and fully operational to support production and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service maintain and repair HGVs including tippers and mixers
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT/DOE testing
  • Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
  • Ensure all work complies with health & safety standards

What Were Looking For

  • Proven experience working as an HGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience with commercial fleet maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
  • Relevant mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)
  • HGV licence (desirable but not essential)
