The Client Accounting Administrator (Term) provides accounting and administrative services to Single and Multiple Employer Plans. This includes answering telephone inquiries and corresponding with the employers and members of various plans on such matters as coverage admissions terminations and beneficiaries. It also includes producing financial reports and maintaining high-quality client services. The Client Accounting Administrator (Term) will:
Master the inhouse database systems called CAPS. Create maintain and update coverage in systems.
Verify premium rates for various benefits and process rate changes.
Collect reconcile and balance employer reports member payment via cheques EFT or credit/debit.
Learn the online credit card system to collect payments from members and set up accounts and re-occurring billing.
Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Track outstanding invoices prepare deposits and process EFT and wire transfers.
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations post journal entries and maintained accurate financial records.
Prepare monthly financial statements and monitor cash flow to support clients.
Complete year-end reconciliations and audit working papers and assist with the preparation of T4A slips.
Execute administrative office support document organization email correspondence and maintain accurate filing system.
Provide professional friendly and prompt client service.
Interact with consultants and collaborate with the pension and claims department.
To be successful as a Client Accounting Administrator (Term) with Coughlin & Associates you will need:
Completion of post-secondary education in a related field such as Business Administration or Accounting.
1 - 2 years of professional administrative experience in an office environment.
Proficiency using the MS Office Suite and accounting programs such as Sage or QuickBooks.
Strong organizational skills the ability to prioritize and multi-task and manage time effectively.
Excellent grammatical spelling and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
The ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
To use tact and discretion to maintain information in the strictest of confidence.
To provide exceptional client service by promptly addressing client and member inquiries and executing requests.
To adhere to existing company policies and procedures.
Previous experience in the benefits or insurance industry would be considered as asset.
Fluency in both French and English would be considered an asset.
