About therole.
McCain Foodsis acceptingapplications for a General Maintenance Mechanic position to work a 12-hour day/night shift at the Burley Idaho plant. Plant maintenanceis responsible forperforming a variety of general maintenance duties and mechanical repairs tooperate repair adjust install rebuild and fabricatevarious typesof machinery and systems for the factory.
Whatyoullbe doing.
Performs functions that require that use of precise calculations and measurements.
Communicates with equipment users to assess problem areas.
Examines and evaluates problem areas anddeterminesandinitiatesappropriate action.
Communicates decisions concerning solutions withappropriate personnel.
Must have the ability to read write andcomprehendsimple instructions short correspondence and memos.
Must have ability to effectively present information before groups of customers or employees.
Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Whatyoullneed to be successful.
Education required: 1 year certificate from college or technical school and 2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Understanding knowledge and basic skill with welding industrial mechanics electronics electrical and plumbing.
Packaging maintenance experience is preferred.
Prior experience in a potato processing facility is a plus.
Plumbing welding and electrical repairs; using technical tools instruments and other materials tooperate repair adjust installrebuildand fabricatevarious typesof machinery and systems for the factory.
Utilizes diverse degrees of various technicalskills;such as general maintenance plumbingweldingand electrical/electronic skills.
Assistsand learns to perform maintenance work as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or the shift Lead Maintenance Mechanic toassistwith repair and adjustment of processingequipment;changing and replacing belts sprockets bearings chains motors pumps etc. while following proper safety practices.
Assistswith setting up and operating lathe mill drill press grinder and other tools to make and repair parts.
Assistswith lubricating andmaintainingmachine tools and equipment.
Performs welding functions including Stick Tig and Mig

Hourly rate: $30.66
$1.50 shift differential for graveyard positions.

Compensation Package:$ - $ Starting at 30.66 USD hourly Bonus eligibility Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
