The Esports Teams Coordinator serves as the operational backbone of the ArtU Esports teams. This role is responsible for our student-players; from initial recruitment and onboarding to active league participation. You will act as the primary point of contact for team logistics ensuring that rosters are eligible platforms like NACE and Leaguespot are up-to-date and that practice and match schedules are executed without friction. This is a high-visibility role that requires a blend of community leadership and administrative execution.
Responsibilities:
Proactively identify and recruit talented ArtU students to join competitive rosters; assist in organizing tryouts and scouting sessions.
Manage the intake process for new players ensuring all program waivers conduct agreements and university eligibility requirements are met.
Maintain accurate team profiles and rosters on the NACE (National Association of Collegiate Esports) website and Leaguespot platform.
Schedule and confirm practice blocks (scrims) for all active teams; ensure that players are aware of and present for their scheduled NACE league matches.
Monitor player eligibility (GPA/Credit hour requirements) and maintain an organized database of student-athlete contact information and game IDs.
Ensure the esports game lounge is prepared for match days including checking that necessary game updates are installed and equipment is functional.
Serve as a moderator and facilitator within the programs Discord server to disseminate schedule changes and program updates.
Onsite Work Procedures:
Check-in at start of shift with the Director (or designee) for task assignments.
End-of-shift handoff: deliver progress updates and log hours per University timesheet policy.
Store work files on approved onsite drives/servers and follow lab/lab-equipment protocols.
Adhere to studio safety equipment handling and room reservation procedures.
Qualifications:
Outgoing and friendly
In-Depth knowledge of current popular multiplayer games for both PC and Console.
Familiarity with Discord Leaguespot or similar tournament software is highly preferred.
Able to meet committed time frames for projects with both efficiency and skill.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment working on projects without direct supervision.
Able to work effectively in remote independent and team-based settings.
Able to demonstrate effective interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivation and initiative; impeccable time management and organization.
Ability to work some weekends and regular hours (work 20 hours per week).
Have a passion for games and esports.

$19.18 per hour
