Position Overview

We are seeking Ontario-certified educators who are motivated to inspire students and contribute to a thoughtful warm and innovative learning environment. Our school values strong relationships creativity and purposeful teaching and is committed to preparing students for a rapidly changing technology-rich world.

Educators will primarily teach Grade 9 secondary school courses with opportunities to teach additional courses within Grades 710 based on qualifications experience and program needs. Teaching assignments are aligned with Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum expectations and instructional responsibilities may be shared across multiple educators. Candidates are not expected to be qualified in all subject areas.

We welcome educators who enjoy collaboration bring reflective and innovative practice to their work and are eager to grow within a supportive school culture. Opportunities are also available to teach Technological Education and Dramatic Arts in part-time evening courses offered one evening per week.

Grade 9 Curriculum Areas

We invite applications from teachers who hold qualifications in one or more of the following Ontario secondary school subject areas at the Intermediate level: English Mathematics Science TechnologicalEducation Geography Dramatic Arts Student Support or Learning Strategies.

Technological Education and Adaptive Design (Part-Time Evening Courses)

We are seeking educators in Technological Education who can inspire and guide students in developing the mindset and practical skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing technology-rich world. The teacher will apply innovative thinking to support student learning through an adaptive inquiry-based approach in digital technology and technological design courses such as ICD2O and TDJ2O. Opportunity to teach course one evening per week.

Dramatic Arts Enrichment (Part-Time Evening Courses)

Opportunities are also available for educators qualified in Dramatic Arts to offer part-time evening enrichment courses held one evening per week. These courses are intended to complement the day program and may include acting theatre studies stagecraft or related performance-based learning. Evening courses are optional and may be offered independently of daytime teaching assignments. Opportunity to teach course one evening per week.

Qualifications
  • Ontario College of Teachers certification in good standing.
  • Intermediate Division qualifications (Grades 710).
  • Subject qualifications aligned with one or more listed curriculum areas.
Compensation

Compensation is competitive with comparable Ontario school board positions and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
