Site Reliability Engineer III (SRE) Network Focus
About the Role
Werelooking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer III with a deep focus on networking to help design build andoperatethe critical network infrastructure that supports our global platforms.Youllwork across cloud and onprem environments ensuring our systems are reliable scalable secure and observable. This role blends handson engineering with architectural thinking and crossteam collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Design andmaintaincore network infrastructure across cloud data center and hybrid environments.
Implement and optimize network automation to reduce manual operations and improve consistency.
Develop andmaintainnetwork observability including metrics logs tracing and alerting for networkcentric systems.
Lead incident response for networkrelated issues and drive rootcause analysis and longterm remediation.
Collaborate with SRE security and platform teams to ensure network reliability aligns with service needs.
Manage and evolve load balancing routing and traffic management for highavailability systems.
Define and enforce network reliability standards including SLOs SLIs and error budgets.
Harden network security through segmentation policy enforcement and bestpractice configurations.
Support capacity planning and performance tuning for networkheavy workloads.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
58 years of experience in SRE network engineering or infrastructure roles with production ownership.
Deep understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP DNS BGP OSPF VLANs and firewalls.
Handson experience with cloud networking (AWS VPC Transit Gateway AzureVNets GCP VPC).
Proficiencywith network automation tools such as Ansible Terraform or vendorspecific APIs.
Experience with load balancers and traffic management (NGINX Envoy cloud LB services).
Strong Linux systems knowledge and comfort troubleshooting at multiple layers.
Programming or scripting skills in Python Go or similar languages.
Experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus Grafana ELK orOpenTelemetry.
Proventrack recordin incident management for networkrelated outages.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SDN technologies (e.g. Cisco ACI VMware NSX).
Knowledge of zerotrust networking principles and modern security architectures.
Background with distributed systems networking (Kafka microservices multicluster).
Vendor certifications such as CCNP CCIE JNCIP or cloud networking specialties.
Experience contributing to network automation tooling or opensource projects.
