The Role
As a Senior Field Service Technician youll operate independently in a company-provided service van delivering advanced diagnostics repairs and preventative maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment across customer sites.
Youll also serve as a technical leader mentoring junior technicians setting quality standards and helping drive operational excellence in the field.

What Youll Do
Field Service & Territory Ownership
- Diagnose repair and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment at customer locations
- Perform preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and minimize breakdowns
- Operate independently in a fully equipped company service van
- Support warehouse distribution and manufacturing environments
Advanced Diagnostics & Equipment Expertise
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical hydraulic electrical and diesel systems
- Execute first-time-right repairs
- Perform inspections safety checks and scheduled service programs
- Maintain fleet equipment to OEM and compliance standards
Leadership & Mentorship
- Train and support junior technicians
- Share technical knowledge and best practices
- Lead by example in safety professionalism and workmanship
Customer Communication & Documentation
- Communicate findings and service recommendations clearly
- Complete accurate service reports work orders and repair documentation
- Follow OSHA regulations and safety standards
Who Thrives in This Role
Required Experience
- 5 years as a field service technician heavy equipment mechanic forklift technician or industrial equipment technician
- Strong mechanical hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience working independently in the field
- Valid drivers license
Preferred (Not Required)
- ASE certifications
- Forklift or OEM certifications
- Dealer or industrial service experience
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and digital service platforms
