JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be working within an energetic agile team implementing solutions that support a wide range of customers. You will develop high quality web-based applications for new and existing will also have the opportunity to bring your creative ideas to the table to deliver better solutions to our users.

The ideal candidate will be a Full Stack Developer with strong expertise and SQL Server. You will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining web applications and ensuring their seamless integration with databases. This role requires a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for developing new features and supporting/bug fixing existing features

Responsible for production

Troubleshoot issues across the whole stack - OS DB applications (.NET) WebAPI services JavaScript and network

Share what they know by mentoring other team members

Closely follow industry trends and the open-source community

Application Development:

o Design develop and maintain high-quality web applications technologies (C# MVC WCF Web API).

o Develop and optimize SQL Server databases including writing complex queries stored procedures and triggers.

o Implement RESTful APIs and ensure smooth data flow between front-end and back-end systems.

Database Management:

o Design and implement database schemas tables indexes and constraints to ensure data integrity.

o Perform database tuning and optimization to improve performance.

Code Quality and Best Practices:

o Ensure performance quality and responsiveness of applications.

o Conduct code reviews mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.

o Adhere to coding standards best practices and security guidelines.

Collaboration and Communication:

o Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

o Communicate effectively with team members stakeholders and clients to ensure alignment of project goals and deliverables.

o Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes including sprint planning stand-ups and retrospectives.

Troubleshooting and Support:

o Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to address them.

o Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues.

o Implement and maintain security measures to protect data integrity and privacy.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or related technical field) or equivalent practical experience

Design and architecture knowledge

Experience with Agile software development

Have an intense passion for innovating and crafting clean code

3.5 to 5 years of professional experience withC# MVC WCF Web API SQL HTML5CSS3 JavaScript Visual Studio Visual Studio Code SQL Server Management StudioPerformance Optimization

Can work advanced database magic with relational and NoSQL databases

Are in-tune with high performance and high availability design/programming

Have experience in security best practices for software and data platforms

Enjoy solving problems through the entire application stack

Are interested and capable of learning other programming languages as needed.

Strong proficiency in C# MVC Web API and technologies.

Excellent SQL programming skills including experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and Transact-SQL (T-SQL).

Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML CSS JavaScript jQuery).

Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g. Angular React ) is a plus.

Knowledge of database design principles data modeling and performance tuning.

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git).

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills:

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure AWS).

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g. CI/CD pipelines Docker Kubernetes).

Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate MCSA: SQL Server).
