The Entertainment organization builds technologies and innovations that easily integrate into service providers infrastructure to make content experiences more effective meaningful and engaging for consumers.

Our stateoftheart R&D environment combines the resources of a global organization with the supportive feel of a closeknit team. Youll participate in developing implementing testing and supporting imaging and videoprocessing technologiesincluding Dolby Visionalongside experienced engineers who will help guide your professional growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design and development of the Dolby Vision device SDK for a range of home entertainment platforms (TVs STBs AVRs).

  • Build and refine software tools that support imaging and videoprocessing workflows for internal teams and external partners.

  • Develop and extend test automation frameworks to validate SDK functionality and ensure reliable videoprocessing performance.

  • Implement and improve lowlevel software modules in Embedded C and C with emphasis on efficiency and smooth hardwaresoftware interaction.

  • Use Python to build internal tools automate engineering tasks and enhance development efficiency.

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to integrate new imaging features and contribute to architectural discussions.

  • Explore opportunities to use AI and LLMbased techniques to support code development log analysis and automated testing.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related field with interest in imaging video or signal processing.

  • A portfolio of academic personal opensource or professional projects that demonstrates your development experience.

  • Ability to learn new concepts effectively and apply them to realworld software challenges.

  • Experience with C and C fundamentals including systemlevel programming memory management and data structures.

  • Experience using Python for automation tool development or data processing is helpful.

  • Familiarity with embedded systems or hardwaresoftware interaction is a plus.

  • Familiarity with AI coding assistants or LLMbased engineering workflows is a plus.

  • We understand that applying to internships can feel overwhelmingespecially for candidates new to the field or without prior industry experience. We encourage you to share relevant coursework projects volunteer work and extracurricular experiences.

Eligibility:

Working towards a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday Friday for 3 months between May/June 2026 August/September 2026.

Start dates for the internship are as follows: (*note* this date is not flexible)

  • Monday May 18 2026

  • Tuesday May 26 2026

  • Monday June 15 2026

The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $50-55/hrand can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role level and location. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific hourly range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
