DESCRIPTION:
Join our innovative team as a Senior Developer and make a meaningful impact on global science and this role you will lead the design and development of scalable enterprise-grade applications using the OutSystems Low-Code Platform enabling faster delivery of high-quality solutions that improve health and environmental outcomes worldwide.
You will work in an agile collaborative environment building and optimizing mission-critical applications that integrate with cloud platforms enterprise systems and modern APIs. Leveraging OutSystems low-code capabilities alongside custom code when needed youll help modernize business processes accelerate digital transformation and establish best practices for low-code development excellence.
Youll take ownership of the full application lifecyclefrom requirements gathering and solution design to deployment monitoring and continuous improvementwhile mentoring other developers and driving innovation across the platform. Your work will directly support essential operations and help shape the future of scientific technology in service of science.
Design develop and maintain enterprise applications using the OutSystems Low-Code Platform
Architect scalable secure and high-performance solutions leveraging OutSystems architecture patterns
Build and integrate REST/SOAP APIs external services and enterprise systems
Collaborate with product owners architects and cross-functional teams in an agile environment
Implement best practices for OutSystems development performance tuning security and reusability
Manage application lifecycle using CI/CD pipelines environment promotion and version control
Troubleshoot optimize and refactor applications for performance and maintainability
Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across low-code initiatives
Contribute to modernization efforts including cloud data integration and AI-enabled features
Advanced Degree with 6 years of experience or bachelors degree with 8 years of software development experience
Preferred fields: Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or related technical discipline
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with the OutSystems Low-Code Platform (Web & Reactive applications)
Experience with OutSystems architecture integrations data modeling and performance optimization
Proficiency in JavaScript and experience extending OutSystems with custom code
Experience integrating with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure
Strong background in databases and data modeling (SQL; familiarity with NoSQL is a plus)
Expertise in API development and integration (REST SOAP microservices)
Knowledge of DevOps practices CI/CD pipelines and release management
Solid understanding of agile development methodologies
Experience integrating with enterprise systems (e.g. ServiceNow ERP custom back-end services)
Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in distributed teams
Experience guiding mentoring and supporting other developers
Familiarity with AI/ML integrations or intelligent automation is a plus
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex solutions
OutSystems certifications (Associate Professional or Expert) are a plus
Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%)
