Maintenance Repairer 1-2

The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical behavioral and psychiatric support needs.

We are seeking a dedicatedand hardworking individual to serve as aMaintenance Repairerassisting with the daily operations of the Area Maintenance Department on the Pinecrest Supports and Services grounds.

One year of experience or training in the building construction trades building maintenance maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR

Six semester hours in construction management construction technology or engineering or any combination of these courses.

Job Duties:

• Plumbing: Repair and install commodes lavatories water fountains and garbage disposals. Unstop sewer lines and drains repair leaks and repair/replace faucets.
• Electrical: Repair light bulbs. Repair/replace ballasts receptacles switches and fans. Replace motors pumps etc.
• Appliance Repair: Repair washing machines dryers ice machines and refrigerators.
• Carpentry: Repair doors door closers hinges cabinet doors knobs baseboards cabinets furniture door stops windows etc.
• Refrigeration: Perform preventative maintenance and maintenance to a/c units and air handlers. Clean coils; work on pumps to air handlers and motors chill water valves controls belts and filters.
• Keep check on hot water temperatures and maintain log.
• Run and service generators and maintain log. Inspects fire extinguishers monthly and maintains a log.

Location: Pinecrest Supports and Services Center - Area Maintenance

Shift: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Pass Days: Saturday and Sunday

Salary:
Maintenance Repairer 1: $17.18 hourly - $30.92 hourly
Maintenance Repairer 2: $19.67 hourly - $35.40 hourly

Appointment Type:This position may be filled by Probation Promotion Demotion Lateral Transfer or Detail to Special Duty. Preferences may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.
