Job Summary
Position Title: Analyst/Program Associate Sustainability Services
Location: VA Office or US Hybrid
Department: Environment and Climate
Unit: Sustainability Services
POSITION SUMMARY
The Analyst will support projects in the sphere of ecosystem evaluation deforestation carbon accounting and climate change mitigation and adaptation. The Analyst performs administrative and project coordination tasks does technical analysis conducts desk research and prepares external reports for clients.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct or contribute to qualitative analyses in support of technical deliverables.
- Gather accurate credible information on a subject and summarize the findings in support of technical deliverables.
- Draft and support the completion of program communication products.
- Review edit and format technical reports and deliverables and ensure compliant uploads to donor repositories.
- Input information into relevant databases and project trackers support monitoring and evaluation processes and link project data with required client reporting.
- Assist organizing and coordination internal and external meetings record meeting minutes and ensure follow-up of next steps.
- Provide ongoing support in monitoring tracking and troubleshooting program implementation.
- Coordinate compliance with Winrocks policies procedures and contractual obligations for procurement subcontracts HR consultants agreements financial transactions (including client invoicing and consultant reimbursements) project closeout or any other project management task.
- Supporting project leads on internal and external client communications as directed.
- Budget management support: Update project budgets and monitor spending levels as directed.
- Prepare and disseminate routine internal coordination reports documenting programmatic activities and administrative/operational/financial tasks status and action points.
- Tracking spending across multiple projects for Sustainability Services.
- Compile or prepare documentation for consultant agreements partner agreements and procurements.
- Manage logistics for events such as project presentations team retreats meetings and conferences and other outreach efforts.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Position-Specific Skills:
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a flexible high-paced environment and able to work well in teams and independently.
- Ability to contribute to project operations and workflow effectively to track and meet deadlines for multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities required.
- Able to communicate in a clear professional and positive manner with a variety of team members and various stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment with respect for diversity.
- Interest in contributing to technical innovation in climate change mitigation and adaptation natural resource management and biodiversity conservation.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software including Word Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Fluent in English fluency in other language is a plus.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelors degree required.
Experience: 1 year minimum of professional work experience preferably in the environmental sustainability field
Language: English professional-level oral and written fluency required.
Required Travel: Up to 10% travel domestic and internationally.
The salary range for this role is between $53000-$62000 for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors including relevant skills and experience geographic location and internal equity considerations.
