Job Summary

Brown University Health (BUH): Bradley Hospital a teaching hospital of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University has an exciting opportunity for a child/adolescent psychologist to join the Bradley Hospital Outpatient Department.

About the Job:

Full-time clinical position working with patients and families in an outpatient setting. This is an opportunity to join a renowned multidisciplinary team. The Outpatient Department is supported by strong administrative staff and care coordination services.
Clinical responsibilities include:
1. Carrying a panel of patients for individual and family-based psychotherapy services;
2. Co-leading a weekly DBT-A skills group for patients and their caregivers/parents;
3. Working as a member of the multidisciplinary team in the Bradley Hospital Outpatient Crisis Clinic an outpatient program serving children and adolescents who do not have a current mental health provider and have an urgent need for psychiatric evaluation and crisis stabilization.
  Additional opportunities may be available to lead or co-lead other therapy groups (e.g. anxiety social skills parent training).
Psychologists work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members involved in their patients care and participate in weekly team meetings and trainings that address patient and family clinical needs while supporting professional identity and growth.
Psychologists are afforded autonomy to construct an outpatient caseload and schedule that best aligns with their unique skills and interests while meeting departmental expectations.
Clinicians treat patients with a broad range of mental health conditions including but not limited to depression anxiety PTSD/trauma ADHD and other internalizing and externalizing disorders.
Teaching and supervision opportunities within the broader system may be available including a Clinical Faculty appointment at the Brown University Medical School.
Collaborative research opportunities may be available.

About You:

PhD or PsyD with an internship from an APA-accredited program with a child/family specialization.
Postdoctoral experience with a child/family emphasis is encouraged.
Training and experience in DBT-A CBT and family therapy are preferred; additional training and support can be provided.
Licensed or license-eligible in Rhode Island.
Team-oriented professional with a desire to work collaboratively in a team-based care model.
Enthusiasm for helping youth and families with complex psychosocial and behavioral health needs.
