About the Role
PwCs Strategy& Public Sector and Economics team is expanding its Economics capability. We are looking foran experiencedSeniorManagerwith a background in applied economics tolead engagements across central government infrastructure (including Transport)and/ordefence.You willbe responsible forshaping business case strategies overseeing the delivery of economicappraisalsand building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders helping them to navigate complex investment decisions in alignment with the HMT Green Book.
What your days will look like:
Leadcost-benefit analyses economic appraisals and risk-adjusted option modelling for defence and security programmes.
Leadanalytical and quantitative modelling including economic forecasting and statistical assessments.
Serve as a senior advisor to clients translating complex economic concepts into digestibleand compelling narratives.
Provide leadership and oversight across project workstreams ensuring quality assurance.
Develop client accounts and support business development.
Coachjunior economists to build future leadership capability.
This role is for you if you have:
Proven experience in delivering complex public sector or defence programmes.
Deep knowledge of theTransport market Infrastructuremarketand/or central government.
Experienceleading the development of business cases in line with HMT Green Book principles.
An Economics Degree (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience
Strong analytical skills for quantitative problem-solving paired with high attention to detail.
Critical thinking skills to evaluate information make informed decisions and develop innovative solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
