The Department of Medicine Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks candidates for a tenure-eligible Assistant Professor faculty position to join a team of experienced Advanced Endoscopy and Gastroenterology physicians at the UVA Medical Center. The incumbent will have a commitment to clinical care education and scholarly activity. Advanced endoscopy fellowship training is required as is a skill set including complex therapeutic ERCP diagnostic EUS EMR and luminal dilation/stenting. Expertise in third-space endoscopy interventional pancreatobiliary EUS endohepatology and/or metabolic endoscopy would be desirable.
The incumbent will be expected to manage patients in clinic perform routine and advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP EUS EMR and endoluminal stenting attend on the inpatient GI service and take general and ERCP/advanced endoscopy call. Expectations also include developing original clinical research and assisting with the teaching of advanced endoscopy fellows GI fellows residents and medical students.
