About us

The role is a software engineering role within our biggest project to date the F126 ships for the German Navy.

FüWES (Führungs- und WaffenEinsatzSystem) is the command system consisting of TACTICOS with an integrated newly developed Fire Control solution. The development and integration of all subsystems onboard the ship is what FüWES is all about. It accounts for the complete development cycle of products and solutions: from concept definition to system design continuing to system integration and validation up until the inclusion of delivery onboard the customer vessels. With the complete solution we enable this new generation of frigates for the German Navy to have the necessary information to Defense Operators in time and to make the right decision within seconds.

In the heart of our Engineering cluster in Hengelo lies the software engineering department where we drive the development of cutting-edge combat and information management systems for naval vessels. Our expertise extends to seamless integration with sensor and weapon systems alongside the creation of advanced sensor processing applications. These sophisticated systems are trusted by global partners serving to protect lives and uphold the fundamental rights of every individual. At the core of critical operations our software is the linchpin ensuring resilience in the face of high-stakes scenarios.

Product Owner CMS Infrastructure (Medior/Senior)

About the job

As a Product Owner you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design development and validation of Command & Control system this role you will act as the liaison between the (internal) customer and their requirements the product roadmap the product system architecture and the Agile/Scrum software development team.

You will manage the Product Backlog for the development of the Command & Control system infrastructure and direct the relevant Agile/Scrum team(s). Your responsibilities will include discussing operational requirements with the (internal) customer designing and formally documenting the functional operation of the product or component and presenting the final solution.

We seek a talented Product Owner who excels in complex deployments of systems has strong communication and analytical skills and embodies a growth and agile mindset.

You have a capacity for continuous learning and are eager to stay up-to-date with industry trends.

Relevant Experiences:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner. Experience with scaled Agile teams is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into actionable development tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Background experience with Linux.
  • Familiarity with network technologies and IT security practices is a plus.
  • You hold a bachelor or master degree in computer science IT service managementor comparable. We expect you to possess fluent English communication skills both written and verbal.
