The University of Wisconsin-Parkside is proud to offer the graduate assistant coaching positions for the2026-27academic year. These graduate assistants will gain valuable experience in Wisconsins NCAA Division II athletics department.
The successful candidates willworka 10-month appointment for the2026-27academic year with the opportunity for renewal of a second year 12-month appointment. Each graduate assistant will receive a full tuition waiver and an annual stipend of $9000 paid monthly. These positions will remain openuntilfilled. Anticipated start date for the positions will be August 1 with the potential for amutually-agreedupon earlier start date and summer employment.
The coaching graduate assistants will also serve as an instructor foranactivity class for the Health Kinesiology and Sport Management department (HKSM). To be eligible students must be admitted to the in-person Master of Sport Management Program (MSSM) at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Appointments are contingent upon maintenance of minimum credit requirements and good standing in the MSSM program.

Primary responsibilities will includebut are not limited to:
Planning and execution of practice.
Player development
Opponent scouting&Film breakdown
Recruitment of student-athletes
Travel and operationallogistics
Organizing camps and clinics
Monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes
Consistentlydemonstratea positive team player attitude building andmaintainingprofessional working
relationships with all departmental staff including but not limited to the athletics administration the sports medicine department support staff and other department coaches.
Represent the athletics department through collaboration with a variety of campus groups.
Represent the athletics department appropriately and intentionally through community involvement
speaking engagements media responsibilities etc.
Represent UW-Parkside as appropriatewiththe Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (NSIC)and the NCAA.
Consistent with NCAA Bylaw 11 and institutional procedures Coach understands and agrees that if Coach is found in violation of any NCAA or Conference Legislation or fails to report a violation he/she shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures including suspension without pay or termination of employment for significant or repetitive violations.

Bachelors degree.
Experience as a student-athlete manager and/or coach in college athletics high school professionalsportsor relevant equivalent experience.
Relevant experiencein the area ofrecruiting scouting and player development.
Experiencehandling administrative tasks of a sports program in college athletics.
Demonstrate the ability to be strategically organized and think innovatively.
