As Improvement Engineer for a production area you wont just maintain equipment youll lead the charge in making it better. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager youll be the go-to authority for your area driving performance reliability and innovation across both GMP and non-GMP assets.

Were looking for someone whos not satisfied with quick fixes. Youll askwhya failure occurred dig deep into root causes and implement solutions that prevent recurrence. Your mindset should be one ofcontinuous improvement always seeking smarter safer and more efficient ways to work.

This is aleadership role without direct reports ideal for someone who leads by example takes fullownership and accountability and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver results. Youll influence others guide technical direction and champion best practices in maintenance and reliability.

Key responsibilities:

  • Technical leadershipof your designated area(s) ensuring equipment performance and driving improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Maintenance & Reliability Operations and Quality teams to guide the efforts of assigned technical resources as needed.
  • Leadcomprehensive root cause analysesand implement robust corrective and preventive actions.
  • Design execute and continuously improve maintenance programs and SOPs to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency.
  • Applyreliability-centred maintenance predictive tools and condition monitoring to optimize asset performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with service providers including regular supplier performance reviews.

Knowledge skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar engineering role within manufacturing pharma FMCG or food sectors preferred with experience determining route cause to complex manufacturing problems
  • Proven record of delivering improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience in utilising various continuous improvement tools and methodologies
  • Completed engineering apprenticeship with further education (HNC/HND or higher preferred).
  • Aproactive action-oriented mindsetwith the ability to influence challenge and lead
  • Curious enjoys finding the why and ensuring prevention for the future
