Position Overview
The Manager Group Sales for the University of South Florida (USF) is responsible for developing executing and growing a comprehensive group ticket sales program across nine NCAA Division I sports. The Manager will lead train and oversee a team of two Group Sales Account Executives to achieve department-wide goals. This role also focuses on driving revenue increasing attendance and strengthening community engagement through strategic group sales initiatives. This position will report to the Director of Ticket Sales & Service and will work onsite at USF Athletics Lee Roy Selmon Athletics Center in Tampa Florida.

Key Responsibilities:
Group Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation
  • Design and implement a scalable group sales program across nine Division I sports
  • Identify target and cultivate relationships with schools youth organizations corporations military groups non-profits and community partners
  • Develop creative group ticket products theme nights and experiential offerings to drive demand
  • Meet or exceed annual group sales revenue and attendance goals
  • Collaborate with other departments across USF Athletics to promote group initiatives
Sales Execution & Account Management
  • Generate new group sales leads through outbound prospecting referrals and community outreach
  • Manage a personal book of business while overseeing team pipelines
  • Deliver high-level customer service to group leaders before during and after events
  • Coordinate group experiences including seating ticket delivery hospitality and in-game recognition
Team Leadership & Management
  • Manage mentor and motivate a team of two group sales Account Executives
    set individual goals monitor performance metrics and conduct regular coaching sessions
  • Assist in onboarding training and professional development of sales staff
  • Foster a positive accountable and performance-driven team culture
Operations & Collaboration
  • Track sales activity and results using CRM and ticketing systems
  • Prepare reports forecasts and performance updates for senior leadership
  • Work closely with ticket operations to ensure accurate fulfillment and execution
  • Support game-day operations and represent USF Athletics at select events

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree required
  • 35 years of experience in group sales preferably in collegiate or professional sports
  • Proven ability to generate group ticket revenue and build client relationships
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring sales staff preferred
  • Strong communication organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to work evenings weekends and event days as required
