Solicitor Immigration

Location: Leeds City Centre

Salary: 42000 to 60000 (dependent on experience)

Experience: 1 to 3 years PQE (other levels considered)

This is a great opportunity for an Immigration Solicitor (or Legal Executive / experienced Immigration Caseworker with the right to practise) to join a growing Immigration team in Leeds City Centre.

Youll run a busy private immigration caseload handling complex applications and appeals across a broad mix of private and business immigration matters. If youre confident working independently have strong technical knowledge and pride yourself on clear practical advice this role offers real variety and scope.

The Opportunity

Manage a full private immigration caseload from instruction to conclusion
Advise across a wide range of UK immigration matters including:
- Skilled Worker and other work-based routes
- Sponsor Licence applications
- Family and private life applications (in-country and out-of-country)
- EU Settlement Scheme matters
- Student and visitor routes
- British citizenship and naturalisation
- Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
- Human rights and asylum claims (private)
Prepare and submit applications appeals administrative reviews and supporting documentation
Conduct client consultations assess eligibility and provide clear practical advice on options risks and outcomes
Draft detailed representations witness statements and legal submissions
Prepare and conduct immigration appeals
Liaise with the Home Office courts/tribunals and counsel as required
Maintain accurate file management and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm

What Were Looking For

Essential

Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or equivalent with the right to practise or a Legal Executive / experienced Immigration Caseworker with relevant experience
Strong experience handling complex private immigration matters
Appeals experience
Excellent drafting and client care skills
Able to manage a caseload independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong working knowledge of the UK Immigration Rules and relevant legislation
Proactive detail-oriented approach and able to meet deadlines under pressure

Desirable

Immigration and Asylum Accreditation
Experience handling corporate/business immigration matters alongside private client work
