Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union is seeking a knowledgeable and collaborative 504 Coordinator to oversee and ensure compliance with the districts Section 504 program. This position plays a key role in supporting students families and staff by ensuring equitable access to educational programs and services. The position will work 210 days per year as set by the Director of Student Support the direction of the Director of Student Support Services the Section 504 Coordinator administers districtwide Section 504 processes serves as the primary case manager for eligible students and provides training and guidance to school staff. The Coordinator ensures timely evaluations meetings documentation and implementation of accommodations in alignment with federal and state Functions:Administer and monitor the districts Section 504 programEnsure compliance with Section 504 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)Coordinate eligibility determinations evaluations reviews and meetingsMaintain accurate and compliant student recordsProvide training and ongoing support to administrators teachers and staffSupport implementation of Section 504 plans and accommodationsCoordinate testing accommodations and state assessments as neededServe as the primary point of contact for Section 504-related mattersCollaborate with special education teams and school personnelAssist with Child Find obligations and professional learning initiativesQualifications:Masters degree in Education Special Education or a related field preferred34 years of relevant teaching or educational experience preferredKnowledge of Section 504 ADA and Vermont Special Education LawValid or eligible Vermont Professional Educators License requiredAdministrative endorsement preferred; other endorsements consideredPlease apply through Crane Director of Student Support Services
