Registered Nurse Women & Family Center
Salary:$63000-$86000 annually
Sign-On Bonus:$15000 with a two-year commitment

As a Registered Nurse in a Womens Center you will deliver compassionate high-quality care across the full continuum from labor and delivery through postpartum recovery newborn and special care nursery and pediatrics. You will work in a collaborative patient-focused environment where clinical excellence teamwork and kindness are core expectations.
Position Overview
The Registered Nurse works under the supervision of nursing leadership and is responsible for delivering safe evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients. Care is provided within the scope of practice defined by the Iowa State Board of Nursing. Consistent attendance and strong engagement with the care team are essential functions of this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide direct nursing care to patients within the Womens Center including labor and delivery post-delivery post-surgical newborn nursery special care nursery and pediatric patients
* Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments for assigned patients
* Develop update and individualize nursing care plans in collaboration with patients and their support systems
* Implement and evaluate nursing care plans and contribute to the overall medical plan of care
* Collaborate closely with physicians advanced practice providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care
* Review and acknowledge provider orders using a computerized provider order entry system
* Accurately document patient care interventions and outcomes in the electronic medical record
* Prepare and administer medications following the five rights of medication administration
* Apply sound clinical judgment and demonstrate strong critical-thinking skills in dynamic clinical situations
* Actively support team members and contribute to a positive patient-centered care environment
* Deliver excellent customer service through clear communication empathy and professionalism
* Perform additional duties as assigned to support unit operations
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
* Ability to organize prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating patient census
* Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
* Commitment to patient safety quality outcomes and compassionate care
* Customer-service mindset with attention to detail and follow-through
* Prior experience in maternal child health or medical-surgical nursing preferred but not required
Education
* Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Experience
* Previous experience in maternal child nursing or medical-surgical nursing preferred but not required
Licensure and Certifications
* Current Iowa Registered Nurse license or compact state nursing license eligible to practice in Iowa
* Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
* Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required within 12 months training provided
* Basic fetal monitoring course required within 12 months
