Mesa Associates Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer to work with other members of the civil & structural team to deliver projects of varying complexity and size for our fossil and hydropower generating clients.
Working in a team environment daily tasks will include the design of additions and modifications to power generation related structural systems including:
- Structural calculations developing design criteria and performing structural calculations to ensure adequate design capacity using various software packages ( STAAD Foundation RAM Connection spMats spColumn LPILE SOLIDWORKS Inventor Mathcad Excel ENERCALC).
- Concrete foundation design rotating equipment transformers switchgear MCCs etc.
- Concrete anchorage design cast-in-place & post-installed.
- Structural steel design pipe bridges pipe and cable tray supports equipment support structures elevated platforms steel buildings etc.
- Drawing package preparation AutoCAD and/or MicroStation Plant 3D.
Successful candidates will be:
- Well organized and self-motivated to complete tasks within agreed schedules.
- Creative thinkers with the ability to judge between alternate solutions to provide the optimal solution.
- Available to work overtime as necessary to meet project schedules and commitments.
- Available to travel out of town for project meetings and site visits.
- Safety consciousness and will strictly adhere to company and client safety standards.
