Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD)staff couple the latest in information system technologies such as elastic compute clouds containerization microservices real-time operating systems and visualization frameworks with expertise in cyber security software architecture software engineering data science Artificial Intelligence(AI) process improvement and software development to deliver responsive resilient high-performance software intensive systems to our Intelligence Community DoD and civilian customers.

The Cloud Platforms & Architectures Department (CPAD) is the center-of-excellence for cloud computing and cloud-related technologies within The Aerospace Corporation. CPADs overall goal is to stay at the forefront of cloud technology to enable our customers to effectivelyleverageit to fulfill theirspacemission needs.CPAD works withcommercialcloud cyberandAIvendors to help our government customers understand howcutting-edgetechnologies can best be applied topioneeringspacemissions. We are looking for aSeniorTechnical Program Manager(Senior Project LeaderSoftware Architecture Engineering & Cloud Computing Architecture)to leadengagements withthesemission owners and technology vendors helping bring together stakeholders from across thetechindustry to help the government more rapidly adopt cloud cyberand AI solutions.This role will provide corporate cloudcyber andAI leadership to develop and sustain a vision for increased engagements betweencutting-edgecommercialtechnology vendors and government space missions.

This is a fulltime positionthat can bebased in El Segundo CA ColoradoSpringsCOor Chantilly Vawhichrequires100% onsite work.

WhatYoullBe Doing

  • Own the strategy planning and execution for engagements between The Aerospace Corporation government customersandcommercialcloud cyber andAI technology vendors.

  • Work with senior leaders from Aerospace government and commercial partners to influencespacemissions and build new partnerships.

  • Collaborate with cloud cyber andAIexperts and leadership acrossdepartmentsto buildcross-functional technicalteams to achieveproject goals.

  • Lead teams researchingcutting edgecloud cyber andAItechnologies and developingprototypes todemonstrateand benchmark their capabilitiesfor government space missions.

  • Leaddeep technical discussions with governmentcustomersand cloud cyber andAIvendors to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in cloud.

  • Work across corporate stakeholders toassesscloud environmentneedsforcommercialcloud cyber and AIresearch and prototyping.

  • Collaborate with mission owners to integrate space-based platforms (e.g. small satellites) into cloud cyber and AI research and prototyping environments.

  • Create and deliverpresentations to internal teams executives and external stakeholders.

What You Need to be Successful Senior Project Leader Cloud Computing Architecture

MinimumRequirements:

  • Bachelors degree in ComputerSciencesoftwareengineering orarelated STEM field.

  • At least12years of experience working withsoftware IT systemsand related technologies.

  • At least 5 years of experience working with cloud cybersecurity and AI systems.

  • Proventrackrecordofleadingengineering teams coordinating complex technical tasks among team members and translating customer needs intoviableinstructions for engineers.

  • Demonstrated ability toinitiateand complete tasks learn new technical approaches and interact effectively with a broad range of organizations.

  • Successfulhistoryofpromoting positive team dynamics mentoringteam members and workingeffectively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • In depth knowledge of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget qualityroadmaps andrisk management.

  • In depth knowledge and hands on experience withat least one public cloud vendor (e.g. Amazon Web Services Microsoft Azure Google Cloud Platform).

  • Experience in designing developing implementingoperating and evolving cloud cyber andAIsystems to support customers.

  • Willing to traveldomesticallytowork locationscustomer sites and conferences up to25% if.

  • This position requires ability to obtain andmaintaina security clearance which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship isto obtain a security clearance.

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.

  • Certifications related to cloud computing (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Azure Solutions Architect Google Cloud Engineer).

  • Certifications related tocybersecurity(e.g. Security CISSP).

  • Knowledge of government technology acquisition processes.

  • Knowledge ofcommercialtechnology vendor product lifecycles.

  • Familiarity with satellite and ground systemsarchitectures.

  • Active security clearance issued by the U.S. Government.

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge and skills.
