Job Summary:

Clinical care of infants children and adolescents with Down syndrome in an outpatient setting and participation in clinical research including clinical trials and quality improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility for the treatment and management of infants children and adolescents with Down syndrome at our outpatient clinic or Network of Care locations.

• Serve as the medical provider in multidisciplinary team visits providing evaluation and treatment of infants children and adolescents with Down syndrome.

• Provide clinical supervision for advanced practice nursing physician assistant and/or medical students.

• Contribute to ongoing clinical research projects clinical trials and quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Masters or Doctoral degree in nursing or physician assistant (MPAS)

Eligible for licensure in Colorado as an Advance Practice Nurse (FNP PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

Condition of Employment:

Must successfully pass a drug test through Childrens Hospital Colorado

Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:

1-2 years of nursing or advanced practice experience in general pediatrics developmental pediatrics or a pediatric subspecialty

Prescriptive authority in Colorado

Research experience

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Strong communication skills

Broad knowledge and clinical skills in general pediatrics and child development

Commitment to Patient Safety Quality Care Communication and Customer Service
