Locum - Physician - General Medicine

Summary:

Join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in the vibrant city of Pensacola Texas! This unique opportunity involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for our nations veterans. Enjoy the flexibility of PRN work with options for half-day or full-day shifts all while contributing to an essential service for veterans in your community.

Job Responsibilities:

Conducting one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
Carrying out patient interviews and performing physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
Completing standardized forms for reporting and documenting exams within 48 hours.
Utilizing a goniometer for physical assessments.
Evaluating and diagnosing respiratory cardiovascular and neurological conditions.
Reviewing medical records as necessary.
Participating in ongoing training and certification processes as required.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Family Medicine Internal Medicine Orthopedic Surgery or General Medicine.
Active and unrestricted medical license.
Proficiency in METs testing and understanding of musculoskeletal diabetes and cardiovascular health.
Ability to complete DMA training to gain certification.
Own a personal laptop (no Mac products).

License and Certification Requirements:

Current medical license from the state of Texas.
Board Certification relevant to the role.
ECFMG certificate if applicable (for international medical graduates).
