Summary
This role involves leading and managing a social work team dedicated to providing essential services to vulnerable children and their families ensuring their safety and well-being. The position requires delivering operational leadership and driving service improvements within childrens social work. The role also involves actively contributing to strategic developments for children and families in Dudley. The position oversees Social Workers ASYEs Trainee Social Workers and Young Persons Advisors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of services to children young people their families and carers ensuring compliance with legislation guidance and local policies.
- Make complex decisions regarding social service provisions for children and families within Dudley.
- Manage work allocation according to priorities ensuring timely implementation of assessments care plans and reviews.
- Collaborate with partner agencies both within the childrens division and the voluntary sector to ensure comprehensive multi-agency assessment planning intervention and review.
- Negotiate service provisions with voluntary and external agencies to support service delivery to children young people their families and carers.
- Participate in the management of services as a member of the Childrens Services Management Team.
