About the Opportunity
We are seeking motivated Junior IT Graduates to join the Digital Transformation Program for a sixmonth engagement. This program plays a vital role in supporting the Governments focus on reducing crime and enhancing community safety through modern efficient digital capabilities.
This is a unique opportunity for a graduate to gain hands-on experience converting and modernising business-critical InfoPath forms into SmartIQ working in collaboration
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Work closely with the DCDD SmartIQ team to learn and apply standards patterns and processes.
- Convert legacy InfoPath forms into SmartIQ forms.
- Coordinate deployment of SmartIQ forms into the production environment.
- Analyse existing forms and document requirements for conversion.
- Support testing implementation and quality assurance.
- Maintain accurate documentation and work records.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and support adoption.
- Contribute positively to team objectives and deliver assigned tasks on time.

Required Skills:
Essential criteria 1. Technical Expertise Proficient in Java/J2EE/JEE PrimeFaces JavaScript SOAP XML EJB 3 JPA RESTful APIs. Skilled in using tools like IntelliJ Maven and Azure DevOps. Experience with relational databases and SQL. 2. Application Development Full-stack development including front-end and back-end. Design implementation and reverse engineering of Java-based applications. Development of authenticated and unauthenticated user flows (e.g. such as MyGov VANguard FAS). 3. Development Methodologies Strong grasp of SDLC and Agile practices. CI/CD pipeline experience. Writing JUnit test cases and technical documentation. 4. Analytical & Collaborative Skills Ability to analyse user requirements/stories and deliver minimal-defect solutions. Collaborative co-design and delivery with business stakeholders. Effective communication initiative and adaptability in dynamic environments.
Required Education:
Desirable Java certifications or with UX/UI standards and practices.
