Job Summary

Shipping Lead

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA an ASSA ABLOY branded company is looking for a detail-oriented shipper with experience in sorting and preparing shipments skilled in scanning technologies. Also committed to error-free order fulfillment and contributing to a positive team. This will be a 1st shift position.

What you will be doing:

Maintain clean safe organized material storage areas.
Provide leadership by example for all employees.
Coach and train employees in policy and procedure regarding safety quality and productivity in that order of importance.
Plan and assign daily tasks geared toward meeting daily schedule and departmental goals to area employees.
(Inventory Management) Control scrap logs in thrive and improve yearly inventory accuracy.
(Part Identification) All items are to be identified with correct part number or DNI.
Actively participate in process improvement projects geared toward cost savings in labor and materials.
Organize and plan for loading situations and make requests for additional manpower.
Review performance and attendance of line employees and Document performance and disciplinary actions.

The skills and experience you need:

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience:

Shipping experience preferred.
Warehouse management system experience preferred. (WMS)
Forklift experience.

Other:

Strong documentation skills reporting skills and computer skills.
The ability to think and react quickly to changing situations and adjust to changing priorities.
Ability to be a contributing and collaborative team member.
