I. Position Summary:
Responsible for the delivery of individual nursing care to adolescent adult and geriatric patients. Prioritizes each patients nursing care needs through use of the nursing process of assessment planning implementation and evaluation. Provides care in accordance with Houston Healthcares Plan for the Provision of Nursing Care Standards of Care and Standards of Performance. Provides direction to LPNs and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care.
II. Qualifications:
A. Education & Training:
Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
B. Experience:
None. Residency or Fellowship programs may apply depending on department
and experience.
C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current US state RN license with authorization to practice in the state of GA.
Current AHA/ARC BLS certification required.
D. Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to utilize standard office equipment. Must be able to utilize
diagnostic equipment as well as patient care equipment. Must be able to utilize
personal protective equipment such as gloves gown mask etc.
