**Position Overview: Nurse Practitioner (APRN)**
The Nurse Practitioner (APRN) is expected to:
- Execute medical procedures autonomously in compliance with APRN licensing standards within an outpatient primary care environment.
- Provide comprehensive care that encompasses nursing and medical services for individuals families and communities.
- Emphasize health promotion disease prevention and holistic wellness strategies.
- Demonstrate leadership and offer consultative support within the multidisciplinary care team.
- Engage collaboratively with patients families nursing staff physicians and other healthcare professionals to enhance clinical outcomes.
- Assess and attend to the specialized educational and learning requirements of patients and families.
- Deliver targeted educational initiatives to facilitate informed healthcare choices among patients.
- Uphold a secure and efficient clinical atmosphere for both patients and staff.
- Support the operational facets of practice in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Participate in continuous professional development and ongoing educational opportunities.
- Identify personal educational needs and set targets for professional advancement.
- Operate within Group which encompasses a range of specialties including family practice pediatrics OB/GYN cardiology orthopedics post-acute care urology and general surgery.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians licensed practitioners LPNs/medical assistants and administrative personnel.
- Note: This position is not available to candidates whose commute exceeds one hour.
**Qualifications:**
- Masters degree from an accredited Adult Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current Vermont APRN license or eligibility to obtain.
- Certification as an Adult Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from a national certifying body recognized by the Vermont Board of Nursing.
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
- Active DEA license.
- Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience preceding the attainment of the advanced degree.
- Clean malpractice history.
- Clarification on visa support requirements (if applicable).
- Most recent NPDB Self Query report (must be within 30 days of active status).
**State License Specifications:**
- Requirements pertain to the state of Vermont.
- Preferred: Certification as an Adult Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from a national organization acknowledged by the Vermont State Board of Nursing.
