**Job Description:**
The position involves the diagnosis and management of a diverse array of urologic conditions such as nephrolithiasis benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) urinary incontinence urinary tract infections and other prevalent urological disorders.
Candidates will perform surgical interventions in state-of-the-art operating rooms incorporating thorough preoperative planning and comprehensive postoperative management.
The role includes providing consultations in hospital and emergency settings collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
The selected candidate will work alongside a seasoned urologist and a nurse practitioner within a collaborative single-site practice.
Participation in a manageable call schedule is expected covering approximately 7 days each month.
Education of patients and their families regarding diagnoses treatment modalities and preventive strategies is a fundamental aspect of this role.
Additionally candidates must maintain precise documentation and adhere to established hospital protocols state regulations and professional standards.
Engagement in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development is essential to stay abreast of advancements in the field of urology. Note that this position is not open to candidates with a commuting distance exceeding one hour.
**Qualifications:**
- Board certified or board eligible in Urology
- Clean malpractice history
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (active within the last 30 days)
- Active Vermont medical license (must be obtained prior to commencement)
- Completion of an accredited Urology residency program in the U.S. or Canada (details noted in supplementary documentation)
**Certification Requirements:**

- Board Eligibility- DEA Registration
**State License Requirements:**
- Valid Vermont medical license
